My Kroger Shopping Trip 6-21-11

Normally here on Tennessee Coupon Queen, I highlight by drug store shopping trips and those where I spend very little out of pocket. Unless my family plans to eat toothpaste and diapers for dinner, I have to do "regular" grocery shopping, too. So today, I decided to tell you what I bought and spent (and saved!) today at Kroger. The prices listed are after my Kroger Plus savings. Here was my shopping list (I know it may not seemed like a well-balanced list in terms of meals, but this is what we needed this week and/or had good coupons for):

1 gallon Kroger brand milk ($3.29)

2 Slim Fast Meal Bar multi-packs ($5.45 each)

2 one-half gallons of Turkey Hill Lemonade ($1.99, B1G1)

2 gallons Kroger brand orange juice ($3.99 each)

1 4-pk Slim Fast shakes ($3.24 - closeout price)

3 packs Huggies baby wipes ($2.49 each)

2 Tropicana Trop50 Lemonade ($2.00 each)

2 boxes Kellogg's Frosted Flakes ($2.99 each)

4 All detergents ($2.99 each)

2 bags of Doritos ($2.50 each)

1 bag Chili-Cheese Fritos ($2.99)

1 pack Kroger brand hot dog buns ($1.19)

1 loaf Merita bread ($1.29)

1 pack Cobblestone Mill sub rolls ($3.09)

1 pack Romaine lettuce ($1.99)

1 can Kroger brand black olives ($1.25)

1 Vidalia onion ($0.58)

1 Heinz ketchup ($1.99)

1 Kroger brand coffee filters ($1.29)

1 dozen Kroger brand eggs ($1.49)

2 packets Ortega taco seasoning ($0.85 each)

1 Garnier Fructis hair gel ($2.88)

1 package Elm Hill bacon ($3.29)

1 pack Kroger brand Swiss cheese ($1.79)

1 pack Kroger brand Provolone cheese ($1.79)

1 tub Kroger brand sour cream ($1.05)

1 green pepper ($0.79)

2 cans Chicken of the Sea tuna ($0.75 each)

1 Grainger County tomato ($1.31)

1 pack Kroger brand cole slaw ($1.79)

1 bag Kroger brand apples ($3.69)

1 bunch green onions ($0.69)

1 Kroger brand infant's tylenol ($1.19 - clearance)

1 pack Carolina Pride ham ($2.39 - clearance)

I used the following coupons:

(1) $1.00 off Slim Fast Meal Bars multi-pack

(1) $1.00 off two half-gallons of Turkey Hill lemonade

(3) $0.50 off Huggies baby wipes (doubled to $1.00 each)

(2) $0.50 off Tropicana Trop50 lemonade (doubled to $1.00 each)

(1) $1.00 off two boxes Kellogg's cereal

(1) $1.00 off fresh fruit WYB two Kellogg's cereal

(4) $1.00 off All detergent

(1) $0.50 off Heinz ketchup (doubled to $1.00)

(1) $0.50 off two Ortega products (doubled to $1.00)

(1) $1.00 off any Garnier Fructis hair product

(2) $0.50 off any Chicken of the Sea product (doubled to $0.75 each - Kroger does not allow overage)

My total after all Kroger Plus savings and coupons was $92.43 after taxes. I saved $37.81 with my Kroger Plus card and coupons, or 30% of my order today and was able to stock up on some things as well.
